On December 31, 2018, Daphne and Heath, one year into dating, launched Going West: True Crime from Heath’s homestate of Oregon. Inspired by Daphne’s aunt's disappearance, and Heath’s lifelong fascination with the subject, Going West began releasing weekly single-case episodes on solved and unsolved murders and vanishings based in the United States.
In August of 1984, Daphne’s aunt, Carol Woolsoncroft, went missing from Fort Myers, Florida after she told her parents that she wanted to escape her roommate, and the man she’d been dating for only a couple of months. He went on to murder other women, though Carol’s body has never been found, and he, nor anyone else, has ever been arrested for the crime. Daphne has had a lasting hope to get justice in her case, and it inspired the desire to tell other lesser known stories on her podcast.
In late 2021, Going West began releasing two episodes a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. They were acquired by the Unwell Network in January of 2025.
